Last year rue Victor Hugo was a sea of umbrellas. This year the fete committee has added bunting, discs and kites.

It's very distracting when you are driving down the street, but it does add something to the atmosphere at the saturday morning market, still considered one of the best in France.

The hot weather has arrived early this year and the forecast is for a harsh summer. So where are we going next week ? Madrid , of course, where the temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees ! Looking forward to lots of chilled sangria to keep us going.
