Took the opportunity to visit this Bordeaux food
fair during my niece’s visit this week as we've never been before. Allées de Tourny was looking quite festive even though the weather wasn’t fabulous. We were a
bit late for lunch as everyone else was leaving, but since the fair is open
from 11.00am to 1.00am that didn’t appear to matter.

The idea of the fair is that a group of local
restaurants each takes space and sets up a dining area where they can offer
examples of their food. No paper plates and plastic cutlery here please. It is
all very stylishly presented and there are lots of choices.

I understand it can get very lively in the
evening and one of the restaurants even had a 'disco' ball !
It may be flooding in Paris but Bordeaux can still put on a show.
